For months, the team at Akronym has been working hard behind the scenes to bring this beloved brewery back to life under new ownership. Though kitchen delays kept them from launching sooner, they decided the Akron Marathon was too perfect of an opportunity to sit out.

This is our German-style Schwarzbier, or dark lager. The name Black Hat is to honor all firefighters, but it especially pays homage to our master brewer, Shawn Adams.
