Akronym Brewing's Grand Reopening
Fresh Beers. Fresh Menu. Same Passion.
The day is finally here — Akronym Brewing is officially back and better than ever. After nearly a year of being closed, a passionate new ownership team, and a whole lot of community support, we are thrilled to throw open our doors and celebrate the Grand Reopening of Akronym Brewing!
This reopening marks a major milestone:
The launch of a new kitchen downtown
A new food menu — including rotating snacks, flatbreads, wings & sandwiches
The continuation of excellent beer crafted by our original brewmaster, Shawn Adams
A team of new faces behind bar dedicated to hospitality and local pride
Over the past several weeks, we’ve been soft-launching our reopening, and your patience with us during this time has been incredible. We cannot thank you enough for your patience, your feedback, and your willingness to grow with us along the way. You showed up. You cheered us on. You believe in Akronym. And now it’s our turn to celebrate you!
What to Expect at the Party
- Ribbon Cutting Ceremony 11:00AM
- Live Music to follow to keep the celebration rolling
- New Menu Reveal the opening of our new kitchen
- Announcing Our New Happy Hour starting the following week
- Beer. Lots of beer. (Obviously)
And yes… finally … we will even have cable on the TVs — sports fans, rejoice!

Where’s Shawn?
Some of you might notice that the genius behind our brews, Brewmaster Shawn Adams, won’t be in attendance for our ribbon cutting. But there’s good reason: he’ll be representing Akronym Brewing at the 23rd Annual Wood and Barrel-Aged Craft Beer Festival in Chicago — a prestigious invitational, celebrating the very best in craft beer.
Trust us — he’s making Akronym proud on a national stage while we throw one heck of a party at home.
We can’t wait to celebrate this new chapter with the city that deserves it most.
Mark your calendars, bring your friends, and get ready to raise a glass!
Cheers to Akronym. Cheers to Akron. Cheers to being back.

See you Saturday, November 8th!
