Das Pumpkin returns to Akronym Brewing on Friday, September 4!
Our signature fall beer begins with a smooth, malty Amber Märzen brewed with real pumpkin purée, lactose sugar, cinnamon and allspice. The result is a rich, full-flavored seasonal beer with notes of pumpkin pie, warm baking spices and a creamy hint of whipped cream.
At 6.3% ABV and 18 IBU, Das Pumpkin delivers plenty of fall flavor without burying the beer underneath the spice rack. The Märzen base brings a satisfying malt character, while the pumpkin and spices create the kind of pint that makes you temporarily forget it may still be warm enough to wear shorts outside.
And apparently, we aren’t the only ones who think it’s pretty good. Das Pumpkin has earned a rating of approximately 3.85 on Untappd from more than 1,100 check-ins. Fans have praised its cinnamon and nutmeg character, balanced spices and pumpkin-pie flavor, with some calling it one of their favorite local pumpkin beers.
That is a lot of love for one extremely orange gourd.
